Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care for patients in varying states of health across clinic, testing, pulmonary rehab, and inpatient settings. Perform pulmonary therapy care including pulmonary function testing, rehabilitation, and patient education while functioning as an essential member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Provide expert-level direct clinical care, manage mechanical ventilation, and apply critical thinking to all aspects of patient care. Maintain current VT state licensure and RRT registration, with BLS certification and a plan to acquire ACLS and CPFT within specified timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Associate Degree Level CoARC accredited educational program for Respiratory Therapy
- 2 Years Prior experience
- Registration as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Current VT State license
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association
- Knowledge of respiratory care assessment and mechanical ventilation management
- Working Knowledge of Respiratory Equipment
- Able to provide expert level of direct clinical care
- Ability to apply critical thinking to all aspects of patient care
- Conflict resolution skills
- Completion of clinical competencies and other required competencies
- Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS preferred or plan to acquire within one (1) year
- CPFT preferred or plan to acquire within twoe (2) year
- Certified Asthma Educator preferred or plan to acquire within two (2) years
