Job Summary
Part-time Respiratory Therapist in the Pulmonary Lab performing respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support for neonatal to geriatric patients. Responsibilities include operating RT-CRT setups, monitoring and weaning oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation, drawing/analyzing arterial blood gases and EKGs, delivering intermittent therapy, and assisting with artificial airways under physician orders and established procedures. Requires strong communication, data entry, and computer skills; must meet licensure and certification requirements and be prepared to obtain ACLS within 90 days of hire. Mon-Fri schedule (24 hours/week); no weekends or holidays noted in title; duties may evolve with policy changes. The employer emphasizes Equal Opportunity employment and patient safety compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of hire
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
