Respiratory Therapist - PT

Job Summary
Performs direct patient care in respiratory care per physician orders; consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy; acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care; duties performed as assigned. Education from a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program with licensure as an RCP and NBRC RRT credential required; PALS credential may be required for ER; ACLS preferred. Physical demands include lifting and movement; supports Mercy benefits after 32+ hours per pay period. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC)
- PALS for ER coworkers (if in ER)
- Physically capable (push, pull, grip up to 50 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl)
