Respiratory Therapist - PSH

Job Summary
Provide cardiopulmonary care per physician orders and department protocols, including administering respiratory therapies, setting up and monitoring mechanical ventilation, airway management and suctioning, performing diagnostics (oximetry, arterial blood gases, EKGs), CPR as needed, documenting data, and collaborating with physicians and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and quality of care. Requires Michigan licensure, AMA-approved RT education, RRT credential (within 6 months), and ACLS/BLS certification; 3+ years of cardiopulmonary experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current State of Michigan Respiratory Therapist Licensure
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapy certification (Must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
- Three or more years of previous experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services
- Current ACLS and BLS certification
