Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist in a field-based, home-care leadership role coordinating patient care in Columbia, SC. Responsibilities include set-up of respiratory products for home patients (therapeutics, diagnostics, high-tech ventilation, oxygen, and related equipment), educating patients and families, developing efficient daily plans with the team, coordinating patient discharges with RT Clinical Liaisons, timely documentation, adherence to SOPs and regulations, and maintaining a high standard of “white glove” service. Requires working on a 24/7 basis with on-call responsibilities, strong teamwork, and ongoing cross-licensing across states. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory School
- Must have current Respiratory Care Practitioner state licensure in the state of employment and in good standing
- Must be willing to cross-license in other states at the company’s expense
- Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing
- At least 1 year experience as a working Respiratory Therapist
- Experience in the home care setting is highly desirable
- RRT certification required
- Current CPR- BLS certification required
- Must have adequate PC skills to use e-mail and update notes electronically
