Job Summary
Administer oxygen therapy and breathing treatments while monitoring patient respiratory status and responding to emergencies across hospitals, long-term care facilities, behavioral health settings, and clinics. Conduct respiratory assessments following each facility's specific policies and procedures, maintaining accurate documentation of all care provided. Communicate clearly with facility staff and the staffing team to ensure reliable, last-minute coverage support where needed. Arrive on time for scheduled day or night shifts, demonstrating dependability and clinical soundness in diverse environments.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an approved respiratory care program
- Active Louisiana Respiratory Therapist License
- Current BLS certification (in person with an instructor)
- Current ACLS certification
- Valid TB Test
- Minimum of one year experience
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work PRN and accept last-minute shifts
