Respiratory Therapist PRN

The Respiratory Therapist PRN administers pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic respiratory care per physician orders, conducts patient assessments, monitors responses, and implements treatment plans to support respiratory care, disease prevention, and rehabilitation. Responsibilities include preparing and orienting patients to treatments, performing ABG punctures and reporting results, assisting physicians with bedside procedures and pulmonary testing, following safety protocols and regulatory standards, documenting treatments and patient responses, ensuring PPE usage and patient identification, managing ventilator settings and airway maintenance, responding in emergencies, tailoring oxygen therapy to patient needs across populations, and performing other duties as assigned. Must maintain accurate documentation, collaborate with healthcare teams, and uphold policies. Required/preferred qualifications include RRT credential, BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (if NICU), and STABLE (if NICU), with Georgia-specific certification requirements and timely completion of SAMA course.
