Respiratory Therapist - PRN

Job Summary
Provides respiratory care to patients across neonatal to geriatric ages, including oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support. Monitors and weans oxygen therapy, performs arterial blood gas analysis, conducts EKGs, and assists with artificial airway management. Delivers routine and advanced therapeutic procedures, documents clinical information, educates patients and colleagues on treatment plans, and maintains up-to-date certifications and knowledge of procedures. Requires an Associate’s degree and current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist, with BLS and ACLS (within 90 days) and NRP for NICU-trained therapists. The role emphasizes adherence to policies, regulatory standards, and adherence to safety and patient-care guidelines, with duties performed in a hospital patient-care environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Certified Respiratory Therapist credentialed by NBRC
- BLS Certification from American Heart Association
- ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire
- NRP Certification (only for NICU-trained therapists)
