Job Summary
Deliver competent respiratory care services to patients of all age groups by assessing, treating, and documenting care effects per clinical guidelines. Perform and monitor moderately complex blood gas laboratory testing while collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary teams to maintain professional standards. Adhere strictly to departmental policies, hospital mission statements, and the Cardiopulmonary Department's code of ethics. Hold current CRT or RRT certification and a Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner License. This PRN night shift role is with OakBend Medical Center, an independent hospital offering a No Wait ER, trauma center, and stroke program since 1950.
Required Qualifications
- CRT or RRT credential from the NBRC
- Licensed to practice Respiratory Care in the State of Texas
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Practitioner program
- Previous experience in the provision of hospital Respiratory Care Services
- BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Course Certification through the American Heart Association
