Job Summary
Provides respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, diagnostic testing and ventilation support services to patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric. Performs RT-CRT set-ups, monitors, and weans Oxygen Therapy and artificial ventilation; draws, analyzes and reports ABGs and EKGs; delivers intermittent therapy and assists with changing of artificial airways; provides services as ordered by a physician per established policies and procedures. Educates patients and co-workerson procedures and treatment plans; performs diagnostic procedures; engages in age-appropriate care and adaptcommunication to patient population; ensures privacy and safety; adheres to compliance and standards. Responsibilities also include staying knowledgeable on current laws and accreditation standards and supporting the organization’s Compliance & Privacy Program and Standards of Conduct. Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within 90 days of hire
