Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist II PRN position with Wellstar Health System in Georgia. Primary duties include medication administration, ventilator management, arterial blood gas sampling/analysis, and delivery of complex patient care in critical care settings. Responsibilities encompass patient assessment, education for patients and families, coordination with the health-care team, mentoring new staff and students, and participating in quality and safety initiatives. Requires an associate (or bachelor) degree in respiratory therapy, active licensure/certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and NBRC-RRT/RCP), and 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care. Location is Austell, Georgia, USA.
Required Qualifications
- Required Minimum Education: Associates Respiratory Therapy or Bachelor's Respiratory Therapy (Preferred)
- Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s): BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP or equivalents; NBRC-RRT; RCP; Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) certification
- Required Minimum Experience: 0-2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care
- Required Minimum Skills: good communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and computer skills
