Job Summary
Evaluate, treat, and care for pediatric patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders while implementing individualized plans of care and patient education. Demonstrate evidence of respiratory therapy use within defined time frames, recognize obvious patient and family health care needs, and promote continuity of interdisciplinary interventions. Operate the ISTAT blood analysis system, respect patient rights in a culturally sensitive environment, and serve as a role model for students and new employees. Work night shifts, 36 hours per week, with the ability to work at any site when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education approved program of Respiratory Care
- Registered Respiratory Therapist from the National Board of Respiratory Care
- NJ State Respiratory License
- AHA BLS Provider Certification
- Must be able to work at any site when needed
- Able to lift and carry equipment and patients greater than 15 pounds or greater
- Potential for blood and body fluid splashes and exposures
- On feet most of the day; bending, walking, manual dexterity, pushing, pulling
