Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive pulmonary assessments, including lung sounds and oxygen saturation checks, while implementing individualized treatment plans for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders in their homes. Provide education to patients, caregivers, and agency staff on disease management, equipment use, and infection control protocols. Monitor patient progress, report deviations from the Plan of Care to the physician or clinical manager, and ensure all care meets CMS Conditions of Participation and Florida state regulations. Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and participate in interdisciplinary case conferences and QAPI initiatives. Requires a current Florida RRT or CRT license, two years of clinical experience, and valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Current Florida license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) in accordance with Chapter 468, Florida Statutes
- Current CPR certification (BLS required)
- Valid driver's license
- Automobile insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical experience in respiratory care
Desired Qualifications
- Current ACLS certification
- One (1) year of home health experience
- Experience with home ventilator and oxygen therapy management
- Knowledge of respiratory pharmacology
- Knowledge of respiratory equipment
- Knowledge of current therapeutic techniques
