Job Summary

Conduct respiratory care for all patient populations by assessing physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural dimensions while documenting educational needs. Perform treatments including oxygen therapy, ventilator management, bronchial hygiene, spirometry testing, and blood gas analysis. Maintain airway and provide ventilation via mask or endotracheal tube during cardiopulmonary resuscitation, including closed chest cardiac massage. Review electronic medical records and physician orders throughout the shift, adhering to department policies, quality standards, and governmental regulations. Respond to hazardous conditions and function under stress as a team member. Full-time nightshift with rotating weekends; USD $35.68 - USD $64.71 /Hr.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher from an AMA accredited program in respiratory care
  • 0-3 years of acute care experience
  • Registry eligible
  • CRT - Certified Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NRBC)
  • Must process and maintain license to practice Respiratory Care in the District of Columbia
  • CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days
  • Working knowledge of human respiratory anatomy physiology and pathology as related to respiratory care
  • Knowledge of the operation of respiratory care equipment and its application in a clinical setting
  • Ability to assess hazardous conditions related to respiratory care and take corrective action
  • Ability to remain calm and function under stressful conditions
  • Must work well as a team member
  • Must be articulate and communicate well with all types of people
  • Full-time Nightshift
  • three days each week
  • Weekdays and rotating weekends

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related healthcare field
  • RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NRBC)
