Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist provides best practice, quality respiratory care and education to patients with pulmonary diseases or conditions, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to support patient outcomes. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, applying knowledge to establish and communicate the plan of care, and ensuring documentation and charges are accurate. The role requires an Associate’s degree in respiratory care, BLS/CPR, and ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable, plus a Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner license. The positionSchedule is 7pm–7:30am, with every 4th weekend, located at the Oshkosh Expansion Hospital in Wisconsin. The environment emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, continuous learning, and adherence to regulatory standards; physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent computer use. This is a full-time night-shift opportunity with an exempt status and no relocation requirement noted.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited respiratory care program
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification for healthcare providers
- ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by respective role or facility
- Current State of Wisconsin License Respiratory Care Practitioner
- High School diploma is required for Oshkosh Expansion Hospital and Fond Du Lac location
