Job Summary
Independently provide various respiratory therapy treatments and procedures in accordance with physician orders, established guidelines, and the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Composite Medical Board. Manage care for an assigned group of patients including adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients within the neonatal intensive care area, ensuring all competencies align with Northside Hospital's philosophy and policies. Shifts run from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. with rotating weekend requirements. Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art facility in Atlanta dedicated to expanding care quality and reach for patients and communities.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited respiratory care program
- Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from Georgia Composite Medical Board in good standing without limitations
- Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) by the American Heart Association
- Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association
- Certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) by the American Heart Association
- Weekend Requirements: Yes- Rotating Basis
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy
- One (1) year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Certified in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
