Job Summary
Perform patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, and respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery. Conduct blood gas analysis and interpretation while maintaining and managing equipment. Provide patient and family education across adult and neonatal areas. Requires an Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences, NBCR registration, state licensure, and active certifications in BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP. Includes night shifts in the NICU at Piedmont Cartersville.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care
- Successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners
- Current certifications in BCLS
- Current certifications in ACLS
- Current certifications in PALS
- Current certifications in NRP
- Actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies in both adult and neonatal areas
