Job Summary
Assess, plan, and administer respiratory care procedures including mechanical ventilation, airway management, and emergency maneuvers for critically ill neonates. Perform and interpret point-of-care blood gas analysis, administer bronchodilator therapy and surfactant, and modify treatment plans based on patient response. Assist physicians with high-risk deliveries, intubations, and transport of intubated patients while responding to pediatric emergencies. Supervise respiratory therapy students, educate staff and families on respiratory techniques, and participate in departmental research and educational meetings. Requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, RRT certification, and Massachusetts licensure. Offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus and rotating shifts at Mass General Brigham.
Required Qualifications
- A.S/B.S. in Respiratory Therapy
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the N.B.R.C. within three (3) months of hire
- Currently licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Respiratory Therapist
- 1-2 year NICU training preferred or 2-3 years' minimum critical care training
- Maintain NRP/BLS certification at all times
