Job Summary
Provide respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, diagnostic testing and ventilation support to patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric. Operate RT-CRT setups, monitor and wean oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation, and draw/analyze/report arterial blood gases and perform EKGs. Deliver services per physician orders and established policies, and document clinical information while complying with laws and standards. Role involves physical demands, potential exposure risks in healthcare, and may require travel between facilities. Preferred candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree and current RRT license with NBRC certification.
Required Qualifications
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Computer skills and data entry abilities
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications and role-specific software
- Performs routine and advanced respiratory procedures following policy
- Reviews and documents clinical information for each patient
- Knowledge of applicable laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to travel between facilities and work a flexible schedule (24/7, weekends, holidays, on call)
