Job Summary
New Graduate Respiratory Therapist providing top of scope direct patient care in a multidisciplinary inpatient team. Role emphasizes respiratory therapy protocols and best practices to promote optimized care, collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes, wellness and patient-centered care, and mentorship/precepting of new staff to build competency. Position includes pursuing ongoing knowledge in a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment and contributing to safety and quality at the point of care. Mentoring and professional development programs are offered to increase competency and proficiency at the point of care. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC.
- BLS - CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date (BLS or CPR card must be valid through sixty days of hire).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- NRP obtained within 1 year if assigned to NICU; tracked on unit.
- PALS within 1 year if assigned to ED; tracked on unit.
