Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in an acute-care setting delivering respiratory therapy treatments, managing ventilators and airway systems, performing pulmonary diagnostics (ABGs, PFTs), implementing patient-specific care plans, documenting in the EMR, and responding to code blue/rapid response events. May serve as Lead RCP during assigned shifts. Requires RCP license, NBRC RRT, BCLS; ACLS and PALS within timelines; NRP/PALS preferred. 2 years of RCP experience preferred; HS diploma required with higher degrees preferred. Relocation assistance available; sign-on bonus discussed. 36-hour (3x12-hour) night schedule in the Chicago, IL area; full-time, non-exempt position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from NBRC
- 2 years experience as an RCP preferred
- ACLS certificate within 60 days of hire
- PALS certificate within 60 days of hire
- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
