Respiratory Therapist - New Grad - All Locations

Job Summary

Deliver respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, and ventilation support to neonatal through geriatric patients, including monitoring weaning therapy and analyzing arterial blood gases. Perform routine and advanced therapeutic procedures, change artificial airways, and document all clinical information while educating patients and co-workers on treatment plans. Maintain professional certifications and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and accreditation standards. Requires current Respiratory Therapist license, Associate's degree, and BLS/NRP/ACLS/PALS certifications. Full-time on-site role across all locations.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree
  • Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
  • Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification (only for trained therapists working in the NICU)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Must be able to perform duties involving Very Heavy Work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly
  • Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue
  • Must be able to work in a patient care area where there may be an occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases
  • Must be able to work in an environment with potential exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste
