Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive chest assessments and respiratory examinations for diverse residents, administering oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy. Manage ventilator-dependent patients by initiating support as needed and performing diagnostic testing such as lung capacity measurements and blood gas evaluations. Consult with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop, evaluate, and modify individualized treatment plans while educating residents and families on equipment use and medication administration. Monitor resident respiratory status and ensure proper functioning of respiratory equipment, maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with clinical standards. Requires RRT credential, state licensure, and three years of experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management in a skilled nursing or hospital setting. Full-time 40-hour position with a salary range of $40-42 per hour at Nashua Post Acute and Healthcare Center.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Current state licensure
- Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management in a skilled nursing facility, LTACH, or hospital setting
