Job Summary
Responsible for assessing customer respiratory needs and selecting, instructing, and Troubleshooting appropriate equipment and services. Documents orders from referral sources, physicians, customers, families, or caregivers; educates oxygen patients on their disease process and purpose/benefit of oxygen therapy; acts as a liaison between the company, customers, families, caregivers, physicians, and health care agencies; completes Plan of Care/Treatment documentation and discharge plans as needed. Requires current Respiratory Therapist license and NBRC credentials, strong communication and organizational skills, willingness to obtain additional licensure, and ability to coordinate care and educate patients on equipment use.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of a current Respiratory Therapist license, in good standing, in the State local to the requisition.
- Must hold and maintain current NBRC credential(s) as required for the position.
- Have a willingness to obtain additional state licensure as requested.
- Thorough knowledge and skill related to respiratory care field.
- Ability to understand respiratory implications of industry change.
- Excellent communication (orally and in writing), telephone and customer relation skills.
- Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills (a team player).
- Normal office/clerical motor skills in addition to extensive computer and telephone usage
- Driving could be required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
