Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary
Responsible for assessment of customer respiratory needs and the selection, instruction, and troubleshooting of respiratory equipment/services to meet those needs. Documents orders, collects authorization, assesses customer needs, and involves the customer, family, and caregiver in equipment/service choices. Acts as liaison between customer, family, physician, and health care staff; educates patients on oxygen therapy and disease process; communicates changes in condition to physicians; completes Plan of Care/Treatment and discharge plans; requires NBRC credentialing and an active Respiratory Therapist license; driving may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of a current Respiratory Therapist license, in good standing, in the state local to the requisition
- Must hold and maintain current NBRC credential(s) as required for the position
- Willingness to obtain additional state licensure as requested
- Excellent communication (orally and in writing) and customer relation skills
- Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
