Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician orders. Consult physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing. Perform assigned duties across the NICU on a rotating basis, including day and night shifts. Maintain current Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure and RRT credential, with PALS required for ER co-workers. Handle physical demands including push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS certification (for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room)
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Ability to pinch up to 10 lbs
- Ability to kneel, crouch, and crawl
Desired Qualifications
- Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Critical care experience
