Job Summary
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders. Consult physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource for nursing teams. Rotate assignments to the NICU on a day and night shift basis. This role requires a Registered Respiratory Therapist with a CoArc-approved degree and current RCP license, including the RRT credential and PALS for ER staff. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and performing tasks such as kneeling and crawling.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS certification (for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room)
- Physical demands: push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Physical demands: pinch up to 10 lbs
- Physical demands: kneel, crouch, and crawl
Desired Qualifications
- Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Critical care experience
