Job Summary
Assess patients' pulmonary status, develop care plans with physicians and nurses, and deliver respiratory care while reporting safety issues. Intubate and extubate per MD orders, manage ventilated patients, and perform ABG processing and cardiac monitoring. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to reduce length of stay, establish discharge planning, and orient new Respiratory Therapists. Provide mentoring to advance team clinical skills and participate in quality monitoring to identify variances.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy
- NJ licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner
- RRT Certification by NBRC
- BLS
- Certifications in PALS and NRP to be obtained within the first twelve months of employment for all full and part time staff
- Night Shift
