Job Summary
Assess patients' pulmonary status, develop care plans with physicians and nurses, and deliver respiratory treatments including intubation, extubation, and ventilated patient management. Perform ABG processing, cardiac monitoring, and life support measures while documenting interventions and contributing to multidisciplinary teaching records. Collaborate daily on discharge planning, reduce length of stay through timely clinical interventions, and orient new associates as a preceptor. Mentors team members to advance clinical skills and participates in quality monitoring to identify variances.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy
- NJ licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner
- RRT Certification by NBRC
- BLS
- Certifications in PALS and NRP to be obtained within the first twelve months of employment for all full and part time staff
- Night Shift
