Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist IV - Temporary position at Kern Medical with responsibilities including administering IPPB therapy, humidity and aerosol therapy, medical gas administration, pulmonary drainage, arterial blood gas sampling, ventilation support, and complex pulmonary function testing; serves as lead practitioner for specified hours, provides instruction to patients/families, assists with equipment maintenance, and participates in training of new staff; requires RRT registration, California licensure for Respiratory Care Practitioner, and BLS certification with RQI Provider certification within 60 days; full range of clinical duties across neonatal to geriatric patients, with potential off-site assignments and disaster-service obligations. Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with State of California license
- California Driver’s License may be required for off-site locations
- Current American Heart Association BLS Provider certification
- Possession of or ability to obtain RQI Provider certification within 60 days of employment
