Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary
Provide professional respiratory care to patients in a disaster-disaster-response setting, including routine and complex procedures with a wide range of techniques and equipment, in collaboration with the care team to achieve high-quality clinical outcomes. Accurately interpret and communicate patient results, document interventions in the electronic medical record, and educate patients and families about therapeutic modalities. Maintain competency through required education and regulatory compliance and be ready to respond within 24 hours and remain onsite until the operation concludes. This role requires Florida-credentialed respiratory therapy practice with RRT/CRT certification, BLS, and at least one year of experience; the position includes 12-hour shifts, on-call responsibilities, and travel to Sarasota as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a Respiratory Therapy Program approved by CoARC and located in Florida
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential by NBRC or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Current and valid driver's license
- Minimum one year of professional experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Ability to work in an electronic health records environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA/Privacy Act and PII
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with special needs populations preferred
- Ability to travel to Sarasota upon notification
- Shifts 12 hours with on-call responsibilities
