Job Summary
Assess and assist in determining respiratory plans of care based on physical assessment, diagnosis, and patient history. Provide medicated and non-medicated therapies, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, oxygen administration, titration, diagnostic testing, and arterial blood gas analysis. Float to multiple locations across CoxHealth campuses while maintaining accurate electronic documentation and patient education. Requires Missouri State License for Respiratory, BLS within 90 days, and RRT credential. Night shift coverage from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM with float pay of $9.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program
- Missouri State License for Respiratory
- Must obtain BLS within 90 days of hire
- RRT credential from the NBRC (If applicable)
- Proficient in safely providing all routine and emergent respiratory modalities
- Able to assess patients and provide patient care per protocol
- Provide accurate and appropriate electronic documentation
- Provide accurate and appropriate education to patients, students and new staff
- Possesses assessment and critical thinking skills
- Possesses in depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Adheres to infection prevention practices and facility safety policies and procedures
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to work night shifts
- Must be able to float to multiple locations across CoxHealth campuses
