Job Summary
Assess patient respiratory equipment needs and select, instruct, and troubleshoot appropriate services to meet those needs. Communicate with physicians regarding condition changes, adjust treatment plans, and complete account paperwork including assessments and discharge planning. Act as a liaison between the company, patients, families, and healthcare agencies while conducting educational meetings and seminars. Monitor supply levels, place replenishment orders, and assist with emergency equipment problems during scheduled home visits. Maintain current licensure, assume on-call responsibilities during non-business hours, and develop technical knowledge of respiratory products to educate employees and the community.
Required Qualifications
- Maintains current licensure in all states where patient care will be provided
- Complies with all applicable company policies, procedures, and patient protocols
- Comply with all current government regulations and professional standards respecting patient care
- Assumes on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in accordance with the company's policy
