Job Summary
Deliver competent respiratory care services to patients of all age groups while performing and monitoring moderately complex Blood Gas Laboratory testing. Supervise department staff by planning, organizing, educating, and assessing competence on assigned shifts. Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff to maintain professional standards and adhere to hospital policies and ethical codes. Accept on-call staffing rotation responsibilities and complete required clinical training courses. Hold current CRT or RRT credentials and a Texas license.
Required Qualifications
- CRT / RRT credential from the NBRC
- Licensed to practice Respiratory Care in the State of Texas
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Practitioner program
- 2 years previous experience in the provision of hospital based Respiratory Care Services
- Certified (CRT) or Registered (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Course Certification through the American Heart Association
