Job Summary
Administer medications and implement respiratory care using the evaluate-and-treat process for complex, multi-problem patients in critical care areas. Manage protocol ventilators, perform airway management including intubation and extubation, and conduct arterial blood gas sampling. Deliver patient and family education while mentoring new employees and supporting staff development. Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan care, verify orders, and perform procedures such as bronchial hygiene and volume expansion. Maintain accurate electronic documentation, ensure medication safety, and promote evidence-based practice initiatives. Requires 0-2 years of critical care experience and NBRC-RRT certification.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Respiratory Therapy or Bachelors Respiratory Therapy-Preferred
- NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapi
- RCP - Respiratory Care Prof
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care Required
- Ability to communicate well
