Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care including airway management, mechanical ventilator management, oxygen and aerosol therapy, and respiratory care procedures to assess, prevent, stabilize or remediate patients’ respiratory dysfunction. Responsibilities include airway management (tracheostomy care, endotracheal intubations/extubations), potential pediatric/neonatal transport via Carolina Air Care per UNC protocols, ECMO management, ventilator setup andweaning, on-call duties (nights, weekends, holidays), and ongoing knowledge maintenance. Must be licensed RCP and NBRC Registered (RRT) with applicable certifications (ACLS/NRP/PALS/CPFT or equivalent) based on practice area. Work location is onsite in Holly Springs, NC, with a 36-hour work week and night schedule; role includes incentive bonuses, relocation assistance, and participation in the employee referral program.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board
- Registered (RRT) by the NBRC
- At least one of ACLS/NRP/PALS/CPFT or advanced practice certificate to administer moderate sedation in Bronchoscopy Lab
- Two years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
