Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist II at Cobb Hospital provides comprehensive respiratory care in primarily critical care settings, including ventilator management, airway management (intubation/extubation/trach care), arterial blood gas sampling/analysis, and delivery of aerosolized medications and other therapies. The role emphasizes independent decision-making, patient/family education, staff mentorship, and coordination with the health care team to deliver high-quality care. Requires NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, and ACLS certifications with 0-2 years of clinical experience (minimum) in a setting that includes critical care. Education must be an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy. Location: Austell, GA (US); shift: Day, Full-Time.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Respiratory Therapy or Bachelors Respiratory Therapy-Preferred
- NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- RCP - Respiratory Care Professional
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS-Instructor
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
- Good communication and critical thinking skills
- Computer skills and teamwork
