Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist II providing complex patient care in critical care areas with protocol ventilator management, arterial blood gas analysis, ventilation-weaning, and airway management (intubation/extubation). Responsibilities include patient and family education, coordination with the health-care team, mentoring staff and students, and contributing to quality and safety initiatives. Requires delivering evidence-based care, documenting patient care and education, and supporting education of new employees and peers in a hospital setting (Cobb Hospital, WellStar Health System).
Required Qualifications
- NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
- Associates Respiratory Therapy or Bachelors Respiratory Therapy-Preferred
