Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care in predominantly critical care settings, including ventilator management, aerosolized therapy, arterial blood gas analysis, airway management (intubation/extubation/trach care), and patient/family education. The role involves independent decision-making, collaboration with the health care team, and contributing to staff development and ongoing professional growth. Requires NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, and ACLS certifications, and 0-2 years of clinical experience with a minimum of 6 months in critical care. The position is night shift-based and located in Rydal, GA. The incumbent will perform patient assessments, verify orders, participate in invasive/non-invasive procedures, and support safety and quality initiatives while mentoring students and colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy (preferred)
- NBRC-RRT certification
- RCP
- BLS
- ACLS (or instructors)
- 0-2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with ventilator management and related procedures
- Ability to educate patients, families, students, and staff
- Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems
