Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist II position at WellStar located in Atlanta, GA, Night shift. Responsibilities include administering aerosolized medications, ventilator management and weaning, arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, airway management (including intubation/extubation/trach care), and comprehensive patient education. Role emphasizes independent decision-making in complex, critical-care scenarios, collaboration with the health-care team, and teaching/mentoring new employees and students. Requires coordination of patient care, charting and education, and promotion of safe, evidence-based practice. Requires NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, ACLS (or instructor equivalents); 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care; minimum education of an Associate's or a Bachelor's in Respiratory Therapy (preferred). Location: Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Respiratory Therapy or Bachelors Respiratory Therapy-Preferred
- NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS
- - Amer Red Cross ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
