Job Summary
Administer medication and implement respiratory care using the evaluate-and-treat process in complex, multiple problem-patient situations. Perform patient assessments, ventilator management, weaning, airway procedures, and arterial blood gas sampling while collaborating with the healthcare team. Deliver patient and family education, coordinate activities, and mentor new employees and students. Provide critical care coverage with significant independent decision-making, protocol ventilator management, and support for invasive and non-invasive procedures. Maintain electronic orders and charting while promoting patient safety and evidence-based practice. Requires 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care. Night shift.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Respiratory Therapy or Bachelors Respiratory Therapy
- NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience
- 6-months critical care experience
- Ability to communicate well
- Critical thinking skills
- Establish and maintain working relationships with physicians and other health care professionals
- Computer skills including familiarity with databases
- Good customer relation

- Communication skills
