Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist II (RRT) providing advanced respiratory care in critical care settings with ventilator management, airway support, and evidence-based practice. Responsibilities include patient assessment, administering aerosolized medication and various forms of respiratory therapy, ventilator management and weaning, arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, education of patients, families, students, and new staff, and collaboration with the health care team to plan and deliver high-quality care. Requires strong communication, critical thinking, and reliable documentation, along with licensure/certification prerequisites (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC-RRT, RCP) and 0–2 years of clinical experience, with emphasis on critical care experience. Night shift in Gainesville, GA, within Wellstar Health System, Georgia.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Respiratory Therapy or Associates Respiratory Therapy
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS
- PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support or ARC-PALS
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program or ARC-NALS
- NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- RCP - Respiratory Care Prof
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
- Ability to communicate well, critical thinking, establish and maintain relationships with physicians and health care professionals
