Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist II (PT, Weekend Nights) provides respiratory care in ICU/critical care settings, including ventilator management, airway management (intubation/extubation), arterial blood gas analysis, administration of aerosolized meds and other therapies, and patient/family education. Involves collaboration with healthcare team, education of staff/students, and participation in quality/safety initiatives. Requires an Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy (CoARC/CAAHP) with science coursework, 0-2 years clinical experience including critical care, and multiple licenses/certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.). Location: Marietta, GA; Hours: part-time nights/weekends; duties include documentation, patient assessment, and adherence to policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science
- Associate's Degree A.S. degree required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
