Respiratory Therapist II, PT Nights (Non-NICU)

Job Summary
Deliver patient care in complex, multiple problem-patient situations with protocol ventilator management and significant independent decision-making. Perform patient assessment, administer aerosolized medication and medical gas therapy, manage airway procedures, and conduct arterial blood gas sampling. Provide patient, family, and support system education while mentoring new employees and students. Coordinate activities and address biological, emotional, and developmental needs across critical care areas. Complete patient care documentation and promote evidence-based practice and performance improvement initiatives. Work night shifts (24 hours per week) as a part-time role.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science
- Associate's Degree A.S. degree
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
- Ability to communicate well
- Critical thinking skills
- Establish and maintain working relationships with physicians and other health care professionals
- Computer skills including familiarity with databases
- Good customer relation, assessment, and communication skills
- Registered Respiratory Therapist

- Basic Life Support
- BLS - Instructor
- BLS - Provisional
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- ACLS - Instructor
- ACLS - Provisional
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- PALS - Instructor

- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider
- NRP - Instructor
- NRP - Provisional
- Part-time Nights (24 hrs per week)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
