Respiratory Therapist II, PT Nights - NICU

Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist II in the NICU for part-time night shifts provides complex respiratory care including ventilator management, bronchodilator/bronchial hygiene, oxygen and medical gas therapy, arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, airway management (including intubation and extubation), and patient-family education. Responsibilities include patient assessment, collaboration with the care team, documentation, staff and student education, and participation in invasive and non-invasive procedures as applicable to the unit. Emphasis on safe, high-quality care, adherence to policies, and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science
- Associate's Degree A.S. degree required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care Required
- Ability to communicate well, critical thinking skills, establish and maintain working relationships with physicians and other health care professionals, and computer skills including familiarity with databases.
- Good customer relation, assessment, and communication skills are a must for this job.
