Job Summary
Part-time Nights Respiratory Therapist II in the NICU providing advanced respiratory care, ventilator management, arterial blood gas analysis, and education for patients, families, and staff. Responsibilities include medication administration, aerosolized therapy, airway management (intubation/extubation/trach care), collaboration with the healthcare team, and participation in quality and staff development initiatives. Requires ongoing patient assessment, documentation, and adherence to safety and policy standards; requires teaching and mentoring of new employees and students.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science
- Associate's Degree A.S. degree required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- ACLS (Instructor/Provisional)
- PALS (Instructor/Provisional)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Prvdr (NRP)
- NRP-Provisional
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider
- PALS - Provisional
- ACLS - Instructor/Provisional
- BLS - Instructor
- BLS - Provisional
- Active licensure as Respiratory Therapist
- Critical care experience 0-2 yrs
- Experience with arterial blood gas sampling
- Ventilator management
- Invasive and non-invasive procedures in Cardiac Service procedures
- Education of patients and staff
