Job Summary
Part-time Respiratory Therapist II in NICU providing advanced respiratory care with ventilator management, ABG analysis, and patient education in a critical care setting. Responsibilities include therapy assessment, collaboration with the health-care team, medication administration (aerosolized therapies, bronchodilators, oxygen/medical gas), weaning from ventilators, airway management (intubation/extubation/tracheostomy care), arterial blood gas sampling, and educating patients, families, and staff. The role emphasizes independent clinical decision-making, adherence to safety and quality standards, involvement in education and professional development, and ensuring accurate documentation and orders. Requires formal respiratory therapy education, appropriate licensure/certifications (RT, RCP, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and instructors/provisional where listed), and is scheduled for night shifts with part-time hours.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science.
- Associate's Degree A.S. degree required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
- Registered Respiratory Therapist

- Basic Life Support Required
- BLS - Instructor Required
- BLS - Provisional Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Required
