Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist II at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital (Part-time Nights) delivering complex respiratory care in NICU/critical care settings, including ventilator management, bronchodilator therapy, ABG analysis, and education for patients/families and staff; requires related AS/AA degree, and relevant clinical certifications. Responsibilities include patient assessment, therapy planning, medication administration, ventilator weaning, airway management, charting, and contributing to staff development and quality care; requires strong communication, teamwork, and proficiency with clinical software.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science
- Associate's Degree A.S. degree required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Basic Life Support Required
- BLS - Instructor Required
- BLS - Provisional Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Required
- ACLS - Instructor Required
- ACLS - Provisional Required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
- PALS - Instructor Required
- PALS - Provisional Required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider Required
- NRP - Instructor Required
- NRP-Provisional Required
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
