Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist II PRN in a non‐NICU setting on the night shift. Delivers respiratory care per protocol with ventilator management, weaning, and airway management (including intubation, extubation, and trach care). Performs aerosolized medication administration, arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, and oxygen/medical gas therapy. Provides patient and family education, collaborates with the health care team, mentors staff and students, and participates in education and professional development. Requires at least an associate degree in respiratory therapy (bachelor’s preferred) and NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, and ACLS certifications; 0–2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care. Located in Rumford, ME.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Respiratory Therapy or Bachelors Respiratory Therapy-Preferred
- NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
- Ability to communicate well, critical thinking, teamwork, and computer skills
