Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist II engaged in critical care, performing medication administration and comprehensive respiratory therapy with ventilator management, ABG analysis, and airway procedures (intubation/extubation/tracheostomy care). Role includes patient and family education, staff mentorship, coordination with the healthcare team, and participation in education of new employees. Requires collaboration, adherence to safety and quality initiatives, and aptitude for independent decision-making in complex care settings. Night shift based in Belleville, IL.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
- NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS Instructor
- 0-2 years clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a high-acuity critical care environment
- Ventilator management and airway management experience
- ABG collection and analysis
